Ego Is The Enemy

A crisp, short book by Ryan Holliday, Ego Is The Enemy had me from the very start.

Ryan takes a brilliantly straightforward approach to life, owing to his background of achieving 'success' at a very young age.

What got me to listen to this audiobook, is the little testimonial printed on the thumbnail. It says

"Ryan Holliday is one of his generation's finest thinkers, and this book is his best yet." - Stephen Pressfield.

Now, Stephen Pressfield's book The War of Art has been on my list for a long time now. Ironically, I haven't read his book yet - but I read Ego Is The Enemy because of his testimonial.

Two Things:

  1. It is always better to not talk and do things, rather than talk much and do nothing.

  2. No matter how big you grow, you should never stop learning - especially from a master.
