In 2014, I was commissioned to design and execute the stage for Storm Festival.
The festival was held in Bengaluru, where over 270 musicians from all over the world came and performed.
The concept was to create a 'goddess' for the music festival. A larger than life agent that embodies the spirit of the festival, looks over the festival and becomes the centerpiece for the festival goers.
I have been fascinated by the idea of the third eye. The third eye sees things beyond what's real. It is the evolved sense that makes you aware. To me, awareness is what differentiates a fulfilled life from a mediocre life. I wanted the festival goers to have an awareness - even though they were all together to have a good time, I wanted them to be aware of their surroundings, the setup of the stage in the middle of a vast field, the respect we need to demonstrate at all times towards nature and fellow humans.
